Philosophy…
In 2005 a simple experiment was conducted. The question was asked, “If there is an all encompassing Benevolent Intelligence, what does It want”? After reflection, the answer seemed to be that if It exists, It would be alive, and if alive, It would probably want what all living things want, to expand. Since it is Benevolent, It would want more benevolence. So a sincere effort was made to humbly align this enterprise with Good. And to use future inflows of money and accumulation of assets and influence to create good wherever possible and promote Its expansion as is being done in this paragraph.
About two weeks after that sincere commitment, walking through the kitchen and just as the kitchen sink drain passed from sight, entered a small thought, “It’s more complicated than it needs to be”. The enormous potential of that simple sentence was apparent immediately and it inspired eighteen months of design work. The end result, a common comment from plumbers that we would like to quote, “Custom kitchen Sinks should have been made this way all along”. Going forward, we think they will be.

Elkay undermount sinks has been designing products for the kitchen and bath industry since 2003. In 2005 we became increasingly concerned with antibiotic resistant bacteria and how to combat it. Since then we have been striving to make the kitchen (host to most dangerous bacteria) the “Cleanest place in the home”.
